Thank You For Stalking!

This Thank You goes to La Bonette, who not just accompanied me in stalking my favouritest tutor by watching an eccentric 70ies feminist pirate movie, no she also paid 8 Euros for it!

That's dedication!

So Thank You!

I wouldn't say the movie was over 2 hours of our lives that we will never get back ... but it was, well, a challenge. It had its lengths, but it was also hilarious.

Anyway we were there on a stalking mission and I failed!

My tutor almost totally ignored me. I would like to say that was because he had flowers for the main guest (which he presented clumsily to her... highlight of the evening right after him running up the stairs trying to pass on the microphone) and none for me ... or that he was a bit embaressed he forgot to send on my exam results. But well, that's just me being unreasonable... just as unreasonable as the "sexual" tension I was imagining (to make the day more amusing) earlier this year, when he decided to sit next to me in class.

Anyway, La Bonette and me simply adore him!

Besides the stalking mission it felt actually quite arty to be at this thing ... if it hadn't been for half of our wacko fellow students, who were also there.

And then La Bonette also accompanied me to my local kebap shop that I had been avoiding for a few weeks since a homeless guy there not just knew my name, but no, he also paid for a bottle of wine for me and said I was "The Face of the Megagrill". After that experience I was too scared to go back ... in case these stalkers had secret pictures of me splashed everywhere ... now this was not me being paranoid again ... NO, I was being reasonable, coz I had a deja-vu that they said something like "Face of the Megagrill" to me once before.

So I was slightly disappointed when they totally ignored me and no-one said anything at all to me. Still I'm not convinced I can got there on my own again ... because maybe they just didn't say anything today, coz La Bonette was there with me ... maybe they just ignored me to make me feel safe and the next time I walk in all hell will break loose.

What are you saying? I'm pretty two-faced about stalking? Nah, I'm very straightforward, it's totally okay for me to stalk someone, but for someone else to stalk me ... not so much!

Enough with the MacBook already

Yesterday on the underground a guy in his mid-thirties, who sat next to me, spend the 30 minute journey from uni to Alexanderplatz watching episodes of The Simpsons on his MacBook!

Now I can't say I haven't thought about doing stuff like that, I can totally see myself watching Prison Break on my way home from uni. But I always imagined it to be on a small handheld device, not on my Laptop ... coz I'm MODEST!

And then on a MacBook, seriously? ... in Leeds I was adviced not to carry my Laptop in an obvious bag and not use my mobile phone on the street because that would invite thieves, which was a bit insane, coz everyone plays around with their mobiles and people have laptop bags ... but in a way it wasn't the worst advice! Don't flash around your possessions!

Now I don't think anyone in Berlin would have mugged him ... but it was just sooooo flashy!

I'm NOT BITTER!!!

The most ridiculous thing was that he had this cleaning clothes with which he covered the keyboard and he was taking it off every 5 seconds to type something (I don't know what as he was just watching a video!) and then put it back again. heh?

Concerning our next road trip: We are going to CORNWALL!

And we have already found a few fantastic things to visit, like 10 different animal sanctuaries, with La Bonette's favourite: the monkey sanctuary!

We plan to adopt a monkey there, though the concept of leaving the monkey behind at the end of the day doesn't really appeal to La Bonette. Well we'll cross that bridge when we get to it! I personally see us fleeing British Shores on a speedboat dressed as pirates with La Bonette clutching the monkey ... chased by several countries' coastguards!

and then today I had to read that a zoo in Indonesia killed 2 monkeys because they kept fighting with eachother and our favouritest monkey sanctuary in Cornwall cried out loud and said that they could have taken Venus and Ia without a problem.

Another 2 monkey lives wasted! I'm appalled...

________

and in football:

I want the Home Nations Tournament! Great Britain is the only country who can do it ... so they should! I'd fly over! The idea seems even better than Euro 2008 now!

Meanwhile Becks is sure Sir wouldn't take the job as England manager. After praising him for being the best coach ever, he said Sir simply wouldn't take the job and when asked again, he just smiled a knowing smile and said "Trust me!"
The factory was lighted up by that smile and the reference it was to the golden past! I miss those good times!
We also can't wait for those Armani underpants pics that are supposed to come out soon, Mr. B!

I love Rafa, coz as a team-building exercise he made all the Liverpool lads hold hands earlier this week. And what is cuter than Crouchy and Stevie G running down a pitch hand in hand? hah? I dare you to find something that is more heartwarming...

Oh and a Happy Birthday to Ryan Giggs, who is turning 34 today! Oh my, there is no denying that sexy Uncle Ryan is getting old... and yet still he totally rocks at United! Proud!

Nuts Just Take Up Space Where Chocolate Ought To Be

They might not have the best chocolate in England, but ... it's CHOCOLATE ...

And I LOVE chocolate! Very, very MUCH!
I took this picture on our granny bus trip to the Lake District! Absolutely loved that trip and who cares that everyone else on the bus was at least 25 years older than us. It was bloody fantastic! Just 50 quid for 2 days travelling through the Lake District + a night in a great Carlisle Hotel with lovely food ... being car-less, it was the best thing I could do to see as much of the area as I could and I'd do it all again! No-one can take this away from me: 4 drunk ladies from Bradford sitting in front of us basically sexually harassing the bus driver to the point where he was about to kick them out!

The End's Not Near, It's Here

It was time to leave the old factory behind and move on. After 2 years, 518 posts, 6347 visits and 3 different personalities, I thought it was time to do what all the cool kidz do nowadays and quit ... to make a new start.

I was very amused to see Victoria Newton quit The Sun's Bizarre column 2 days later with the same words I used...

"It's time to grow up!"

I tried to change the old factory once because I wasn't happy about how it was going, coz it seemed too specialized in a way. The change was half-hearted though... how could it have been any different, as I had no idea where I wanted to take it.

So I thought about what to do for a long time and then the cool kidz called it a day and I thought "damn, that's IT, this is what I want to do"...

And because I can never really keep my mouth shut, I left the old factory open and posted away in nostalgica while I was feverishly skipping through estate agents' property lists in search for a better factory. In the end I came back to my trusted agent and acquired a dusty, run down factory just down the road from the old one. So while still keeping business open at the old place, I secretly sneaked away and started a major construction project at the new marvellous factory. I began by chucking all the junk out, I repaired the walls, build in new windows and cleaned, cleaned, cleaned. It started to look really nice and bright as natural light was flooding through the old building. All that was left to do was re-decoration. The painting was a really easy process as the colour concept had been in my mind for months. New furniture was bought and I chose to leave everything simple but cosy.

The new factory was ready to go into business and it was time to close the old one... a glass of Gin helped and I posted a last time and estinguished the fire in the old fireplace. And because I can never throw anything away, the old factory became something like a self-storage unit. So everything is still there and if I ever need any of my old stuff I can go there and get it. Perfect!

So here we are ... a clean cut, a new start. You might ask, what will be different, where is this going and will this be any good?

The truth is I don't know! I have a few ideas about where this is going though. Some things will stay the same, some things will be different. If it works out we will see!

Now I'm pretty tired from all the relocation work, so let me light the new fireplace for the first time and sit down in that comfy armchair beside it with a cup of tea and a good book.
